Road to the Top Welcomes New Talent
Road to the Top Tier 1 Athlete, Caelinn Leahy - Class of 2028
RTTT has proudly welcomed Caelinn Leahy and Katie Williams as the Tier 1 Class of 2028. Each arrives with talent, competitive experience, and a deep desire to learn from the best while developing the habits and systems required for long-term success.
Leahy is an accomplished young professional show jumper with national and international experience. A Vanderbilt University graduate with a 4.0 GPA and degrees in Economics and Medicine, Health, and Society, Caelinn has balanced academic excellence with FEI-level sport and professional riding responsibilities. Her highlights include U.S. team representation at the Young Rider Nations Cup Finals, top placings through 1.50m CSI3* competition, national Grand Prix wins, and extensive experience developing horses from young-horse divisions into FEI sport. She brings intelligence, resilience, and a serious commitment to horsemanship to RTTT.
Road to the Top Tier 1 Athlete, Katie Williams - Class of 2028
Williams is a dedicated show jumper with Grand Prix experience and a strong foundation in horsemanship. She won the $25,000 Devon Fall Classic Grand Prix and finished second in the $30,000 Tryon International Grand Prix. After Katie was not accepted to Road to the Top's inaugural class, she was doubly motivated, spending a year working under Schuyler Riley to improve her skills before applying again and impressing selectors with her resilience. Now working with Olympian Katie Prudent through Road to the Top, Katie brings work ethic, composure, and a genuine desire to keep improving in a high-performance training environment.
Apprentice Program: A New Pathway Begins
Road to the Top has officially launched the Apprentice Program, an exciting expansion designed to reach talented riders earlier in their development. While the Tier 1 program supports athletes already ready for advanced competition, the Apprentice Program focuses on the foundation of a professional life in the sport: horse care, management, travel, competition preparation, barn systems, and the judgment that can only be learned through daily immersion with top professionals.

The response from athletes and mentors has been energizing. The apprentices are eager to learn, the mentors are generous with their time and expertise, and everyone involved understands that this program fills a critical gap. It gives rising professionals a place to learn the parts of the business that are often invisible from the rail but essential to sustaining a career.
