RTTT Distinguished Horses

It really needs to be a group effort…It’s such an expensive sport, and the horses that can help riders move up to the 1.60m level are very expensive and also very hard to find. Working with Road to the Top has been wonderful.

Aralyn Blue

2011 Oldenburg Mare

Five-star veteran Aralyn Blue was generously donated to Road to the Top in 2025 by longtime owner Ann Thompson, who wanted to support a young American talent in Carlee McCutcheon. The pair formed an incredible partnership. They won a CSI2* Grand Prix at Lier (BEL) and a CSI3* Grand Prix at the World Equestrian Center - Ocala, were part of the gold medal winning team in the FEI Youth Nations Cup Finals, and represented the United States in senior Nations Cup competition at Vejer de la Frontera (FRA). “Lynn” has remained with Carlee following her graduation from the RTTT Tier 1 program, and the pair was quickly named to another senior Nations Cup team at Lisbon (POR).

In the Stars

2018 Selle Francais gelding

Trent McGee played a key role in the development of Plain Bay Farm’s In the Stars during his time with Road to the Top. This young horse demonstrated his talent and promise for the future at the 2026 Winter Equestrian Festival, jumping to two podium placings in the competitive CSI2* division, including a runner-up finish in the CSI2* 1.45m Speed in Wellington.

Greenhall

2016 Irish Sport Horse mare

Plain Bay Farm’s speedy mare Greenhall was a dominant force at the 2026 Winter Equestrian Festival with Trent McGee. The pair won 10 classes together and secured the 1.40m Open Jumper Circuit Championship.

Is Your Horse the Right Fit for a Road to the Top Rider?

Horses are key to the Road to the Top program, as each RTTT Tier 1 athlete works with a string of three (3) horses. These horses are lended to Road to the Top for an indeterminate amount of time.

Horses that are lended to RTTT remain under their existing ownership and enter the program of a RTTT mentor. During this time, all expenses are paid on the horse. Lending a horse to RTTT is a great way to support a young rider while also having their horse benefit from free training within the program of an elite coach in the sport.

Horses are accepted to Road to the Top pending approval and the needs of individual riders within the program. If you are interested in lending your horse for any length of time, contact us.
